Husqvarna chainsaws are historical and have been put through many innovative enhancements. Little wonder their wide range of Chainsaws is blazing the trail in the market.
How It Began
Wood is an integral part of our civilization because they find usefulness in domestic and industrial settings.
Before now, axes and other heavy objects were used in cutting them down, but the time and energy it consumed meant there was a need to get a better technology that would make felling trees less strenuous; this gave birth to the modern chainsaws that we now have.
The first chainsaw ever to be made was by the German orthopaedist Bernhard Heine in 1830 and was used for orthopedic surgery, amongst other things.
The chainsaw was small and was manually operated. At the turn of the 20th century, the electric chainsaw was invented, which was more efficient than the previous version.

Despite the resounding success that the Husqvarna chainsaw had at that time, the company didn’t rest in its oars, but they kept looking for ways to improve their chainsaws.
This time, with the weight and sound of their chainsaw reduced, they turned their attention to improving the safety of their machines. This saw them produce the Husqvarna 162 in Sweden and Finland, which was safer.

This chainsaw was launched in 1981 and was quite popular in Japan; many believed it had something to do with the number. This chainsaw was just a slight modification of the previous version.
Husqvarna 50 Rancher
Since 1959 when the first Husqvarna chainsaw was made, the purpose had always been for felling trees; however, when it became evident that lawnmowers needed an equally durable and efficient saw that was simple yet reliable, the company launched the Husqvarna Rancher in 1982, which became very popular with farmers in the US. It is still in use today, with slight improvements made here and there.

This chainsaw was launched at the company’s global sales conference in Sweden in 1983, and people were allowed to inspect it; this chainsaw was a huge success for this very reason.
Husqvarna 262 XP®
This award-winning chainsaw is the first saw with Air Injection, and it was launched in 1989. It bears the mark of all Husqvarna products: convenient and safe.
Husqvarna 394 XP®
This quite efficient chainsaw was produced in a time-constrained environment and was billed to be launched in New Zealand and The US simultaneously.
Husqvarna 335XPT
This is a professional arborist chainsaw, which was engineered for taking care of trees, gardens, and other such areas. The product introduced in 1997 has a compact engine and is also lightweight.
Husqvarna 346XPG
This is another chainsaw that is the first of its kind. It is innovative because it has a snap-lock cylinder cover. It was first introduced in 1999, and it has proven to be highly efficient and gives off low vibrations. It is also one of the safest chainsaws that there are.

Is Husqvarna better than Stihl?
If you took a survey and asked professional landscapers and loggers for the best two brands of chainsaws, you will most probably get the same answer – Husqvarna and Stihl.

Stihl products have a relatively large engine regarding each model of their chainsaws compared to similar models by Husqvarna.
For instance, the Husqvarna 555 has 4.3 horsepower while Stihl similar model: the Stihl MS 362, has 4.69 horsepower. This means the Stihl chainsaw can cut through knots and tough logs better than Husqvarna.
With regards to the engine size, Stihl takes the lead.
3. Fuel Tank
Husqvarna has larger fuel tanks than their Stihl counterpart, and this is because Husqvarna chainsaws are meant for professionals, but for domestic use, the size of the fuel tank dies not matter; after all, you will not be working for long with the chainsaws. So for this round, Husqvarna is taking it.
4. Maintain
In terms of maintenance, leave it for Stihl; their chainsaws are easy to maintain, while Husqvarna chainsaws need a little more detailed maintenance regime.
5. Warranty
Husqvarna Chainsaws have a longer warranty than those of Stihl. While you can expect to get about a five-year warranty for most Husqvarna chainsaws, you only have two years of warranties for a Stihl chainsaw.
Give it to Husqvarna for a warranty.
6. Anti-vibrating
Both brands have very good anti-vibration technology. However, Husqvarna seems to edge Stihl out because their chainsaw vibrates less.
7. Safety
In terms of safety, we are tempted to say that the race is too close to call, but we still give it Husqvarna because it has an all-in-one-safety switch that you don’t get with Stihl Chainsaws.
We will say that both products have their strong points and demerits, but by and large, we crown Husqvarna as the winner by just a little margin.
Conclusion
Husqvarna is a household name regarding hardware products, and their chainsaw is one of the best-selling chainsaws in the market.
There has always been a debate amongst people about where these chainsaws are produced: if it is in Sweden, China, or the US. The reality is that we don’t know because they are keeping it hush.
But this we know: Husqvarna has different places where they produce the individual components that make up their chainsaw.
So go beyond where Husqvarna chainsaws are made and enjoy the best chainsaw in the market, or so.
