You can change the measurement from the standard 2 feet by 2 feet. The fences will be placed 1.5m apart. We highly recommend setting up this course close to a wall, fence, or tree to have extra support.

Step 1: Mark out the Posts

Use your aluminium edge to mark the position where you want the climbing rig to be. This spot marked out should be one meter away from your support (wall, fence, or tree).

Using a measuring tape, Mark out where you want your post to stand, and then you can use black pegs to measure the width of the measured out position.

The two pegs should have a width of 4 inches apart; this marks your first post. Position your second post 1.5m away from the first post

Step 2: Dig the Holes

Our posts will be high; that’s why we need a deep hole to make a solid foundation. This will keep the posts sturdy and in place.

Measure about 2 to 3 feet from the end of your post and mark this measured spot with a pencil or sharpie. This marked spot indicated the portion of the post going into the ground or the hole dug.

How deep you want your posts in the ground depends on how tall you want your post to be; the higher the post, the deeper it goes into the ground.

Once you have marked off the spot going into the ground, measure about 60cm from your marked spot, this is where your post sleeves (if you intend to use this because it is optional) will be; it should be slightly above the ground level.

After that, start measuring from the other side of the post about half afoot. This is where your bar will go, although the height can be adjusted to however you want.

This setup won’t be exactly 15 feet since 2 feet of your post has already been buried underground. But if you want a higher rope climb, you can get a higher post. But it’s recommended that you stay within the 10 to 15 feet limit.

You may require a little assistance here. But if you are alone, you can use a ladder to stick the fence into the hole. Use a spirit level to check if the setup is straight and even. Incline your battens at a 45° angle to support the fence and prevent it from falling. Utilize multiple battens and your source of support as well (wall, fence, or trees)

Step 5: Pour in the Post Concrete

You will now pour post concrete I into the holes, filling them up. This may take a different amount of concrete, depending on how deep your hole is.

For a standard hole, you will need two bags, making a total of 4 bags for both holes. Fill the holes with concrete to about an inch, and then add some water to let the concrete set.

The concrete will ensure that your post is held firmly.

Step 6: Put the Bars in Place

You will put the bars in place using a wall bracket, and if your bars are a little longer, you can cut them to the desired length.

Screw the bracket and the galvanized steel on the marked spot on the fence. Always remember to her backs that fit with your steel bar; after screwing, use a spirit level to determine if the setup is straightforward.

Step 7: Varnish the Fence Posts

Varnish the wood using paint and a paintbrush. This step is optional, but it helps prevent your wood from rotting. There are other varnishing options to choose from; you can go for a waterproof spray.
